Beneficial Birds and the Native Plants that they Prefer

Using Wild Farm Alliance's Bird Habitat Assessment and Native Plant guide, we’ll go over how to look at the farm through the eyes of birds. We’ll discuss how to evaluate the food, water, cover and nesting habitat present and what conservation opportunities and farm management strategies can be employed to support birds and their pest control services. A big part of our focus is on native plants that the birds prefer, rating the different values of 160 common native plants used in hedgerows.
