Figs are a great crop by themselves or as part of a diversified orchard. With good variety selection they will grow well in much of California and have the major advantage of being propagated from cuttings making trees easy to obtain. They have few pests, are frugal in water use, and bring a good price. This session will have a larger wholesale grower and a small diversified grower to discuss the fascinating world of figs: varieties, gopher control, propagation, pollination (or not), general care, and marketing for this most noble of fruits.
