Pasture Based Livestock at Fiesta Farm - Sunday, July 16, 4pm

EcoFarm's July CRAFT workshop is a rare opportunity to learn about humane animal husbandry. Attendance is free, RSVP required, community members welcome!

Fiesta Farm is a first-generation family farm located north of Salinas near Watsonville, California. Farmers Aurelio and Sarah Lopez' main focus is pasture-raised eggs and meat, primarily chicken and pork. The pasture based production system is very different from conventional poultry and pork production, and involves daily or weekly rotation of all animals across grass pastures and through oak forests. Fiesta Farm's products are direct-marketed in the South Bay and Monterey Bay areas at three farmer’s markets, restaurants, and through our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) delivery program.

Tour begins at the main farm, located near the Elkhorn Slough just south of Watsonville.
RSVP is required -please email Isabelle by 1pm day-of, to attend!

Santa Cruz CRAFT is a free mentoring program for apprentices, beginning farmers, and the farm-curious held monthly at farms in and around the Santa Cruz area, coordinated by EcoFarm.
