Get FARMY at the annual Hoes Down Harvest Celebration, October 1-2 at Full Belly Farm in the beautiful Capay Valley. There's nothing quite like the Hoes Down Harvest Festival, coming up the first Saturday of October. Put those hoes down, AKA relax, rejuvenate, and celebrate this harvest season with two fun-filled days of events for ALL ages, and a truly special opportunity to connect with rural life.
Don't miss this year's seminars (on Sunday): Bus Tour for Beginning Farmers, Baking with Local Grains, and Cheesemaking with Erik Patterson from Cowgirl Creamery, in addition to Small Scale Olive Oil Production, Raising Animals on Grass, Farm Fresh Floral Design, a Kids Camp, and more!
Over 5,000 people attend the festival each year, and there is always something for EVERYONE. An INCREDIBLE children's area, farm tours, glowing carved pumpkins, camping, live music, and wagon rides are annual favorites, as well as an all organic farmers' market with a bounty of seasonal foods, including a huge variety of pumpkins, melons, apples, fresh-picked almonds, and walnuts.
