The best Pest Control Advisor (PCA) strives to incorporate the health of the crop and the surrounding ecosystem into their pest management recommendations. We’ll discuss what that means for PCA’s that practice IPM and give recommendations on biological control, cultural practices and organic pesticide applications for farmers. We’ll hear from professionals in the industry about programs they’ve been involved with or working on that could support PCAs better in meeting the California Code of Regulations that requires PCAs and their growers to consider feasible alternatives to pesticides, and give good ecological pest management recommendations.
