ALBA (Agriculture and Land-Based Training Association) is a non-profit organization with a 100 acre training facility based in the heart of the Salinas Valley. ALBA provides a bilingual and college-accredited Farmer Education Course for aspiring farmers, the majority of which are current or former farm workers. After graduation, participants can qualify to lease land in ALBA’s Organic Farm Incubator.
Tour the farm and then learn about ALBA's new partnership with the ag-tech company, Aggrigator, to market produce through a food hub and a new e-commerce marketplace.
Santa Cruz CRAFT is a free mentoring program for apprentices, beginning farmers, and the farm-curious. Coordinated by EcoFarm, we meet monthly at farms in and around the Santa Cruz area.
