Supporters of fossil fuels claim that nearly everything in our daily life is made from oil. While this may be correct, there are alternatives to nearly everything currently made from petroleum. One source of many of these alternatives is hemp. Recognizing this, and wanting to find alternative economies for her reservation community, Winona LaDuke recently invested in a hemp farm.
