To comply with organic regulations that require producers to maintain or improve the natural resources of their operations, farmers and ranchers may install certain plants for pollinator habitat or include a cover crop in their rotation. There are often however, many additional opportunities to further support biodiversity and conserve natural resources. This workshop will help participants identify areas for improvement across a wide range of possibilities: techniques to conserve water, provide wildlife habitat, restore native plant communities and increase diversity. We will discuss examples of farms on their journey of continuous improvement and available resources.
