Rowen White & Matthew Dillon - Wednesday Opening Plenary
Rowen White is a seed saver, farmer, educator, and author from the Mohawk community of Akwesasne and curates an extensive collection of rare northeast native seeds. Rowen has had a long standing relationship with Seed Savers Exchange (SSE) and educates the public on the importance of ancestral seeds and the tools to preserve them. Rowen is a seed educator with Native Seed/Search Seed School in Tucson, AZ and is on the Board of Directors of the Seed Savers Exchange.
Matthew Dillon currently serves as the Cultivator for Seed Matters, but his work with organic seed began in earnest more than a decade ago when he served as Founding Director of Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) – the first organization to engage in seed education, research, and advocacy specifically for the organic community.
Malik Kenyatta Yakini - Thursday Plenary
Malik Kenyatta Yakini is an activist and educator who is committed to freedom and justice for African people in particular and humanity in general. Yakini is a founder and the Interim Executive Director of the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network, which operates a four acre farm in Detroit and spearheaded efforts to establish the Detroit Food Policy Council, which he chairs.

Paul Stamets is an engaging speaker, author, mycologist, medical researcher and entrepreneur. His informative lectures on mushrooms deepens our understanding and respect for the organisms that literally exist under every footstep we take on this path of life: fungi.
