Agrihoods Take Root

Feeding off the continuing interest in eating fresh, local food, developers are ditching golf courses and designing communities around farms, offering residents a taste of the pastoral life — and tasty produce, too. In 2015, the Washington DC based Urban land institute estimated that there are 200 Agrihoods established around the country. This workshop will give you a look inside an operating Agrihood, and also walk you through an example of the community level work necessary to set the plans for an Agrihood in motion.
