Fair Food: Exploring the Inequities and Racial issues inherent in the Farming Movement

This workshop will delve into issues of systemic oppression in the food system, through the lens of colorblind racism within the alternative ag movement and worker inequalities. Our speakers will cover this complicated topic from two different perspectives. Ahna Kruzic from Food First in Oakland will illuminate us with her perspective and research into the first topic. Rosalinda Guillen will then detail some of the inequalities that are inherent in both the food system and in the treatment of farm workers. Following the presentations there will be Q & A as well as time for discussion.
