What's REALLY Happening to Pollinators? It’s Systemic Neonics!

This workshop will take a deep look into pesticide industry-sponsored "Pollinator Protection" and how the chemical industry influences the EPA, academia, and influential beekeeper associations to undermine true pollinator protection. Susan Kegley will provide background information on how systemic insecticides work, detailing why they are problematic for pollinators. Stacy Malkan will provide insights into the money trail that winds through our agricultural universities directly back to the manufacturers of neo-nicotinoids and other bee-toxic pesticides. Terry Oxford will reveal how the insecticide industry has used the varroa mite to deflect attention away from systemic chemicals, one of the key stressors for bees, and how they co-opted beekeeper associations to drive and control the bee narrative.
