Kanchan Dawn Hunter is co-creator of the first annual Women of Color Herbal Symposium and co-director at Spiral Gardens Community Food Security Project. She teaches children and adults how to identify, grow, harvest, dry, prepare, and use medicinal plants in urban soil, as well as seed saving and food production. Her vision is to find us all connected with each other in service to Life and the Earth who nourishes us all. Tatille Jackson is a multi-faceted healer and horticulturist at Spiral Gardens. Maya Blow, an herbalist and classical homeopath, runs a handcrafted herb CSA from her organic farm in El Sobrante where she lives with her family, goats, chickens, bees, and jersey milk cows.
