El taller será de tres secciones. La primera parte será sobre el uso de plantas para atraer insectos benéficos y polinizadores al campo. El título será: Setos Vivos para una Granja Biodiversa. La segunda presentación será sobre la solarización del suelo. Esto consiste en cubrir el suelo húmedo con plástico transparente durante el verano, a fin de elevar las temperaturas que permitan destruir la mayoría de plagas. También cubrirá el tema de Biosolarización. La segunda presentación se titula: Solarización del Suelo para Controlar Plagas y Malezas. La tercera presentación cubrirá el control de roedores en sistemas orgánicos. Esta presentación se titula: Control de Topos, Ardillas y otros Roedores en Fincas Orgánicas.
The workshop will have 3 sections. The first will cover the use of plants and hedgerows to attract beneficial insects and pollinators. The second presentation will cover solarization of the soil. This consists of covering moist soil with transparent plastic during the summer. Solarization increases soil temperature enough to destroy the majority of pests and disease. The third presentation will cover the control of chipmunks, moles, and other rodents in organic systems.
