Each year more and more Americans are becoming aware of GMOs. Victories and defeats are stacking up from litigations and advocacy. We can feel proud of the inroads made into the public consciousness of GMO issues. How much more will it take? How can apathy turn to activism, so that the successes eventually reach the tipping point and GMOs are labeled and regulated out of prominence? Our panelists track these issues continuously and will report on many fronts of the anti-GMO fight—from standing up to Monsanto, to labeling vs. market forces, to the maize battle in Mexico, to USDA-APHIS revisiting their regulation framework for biotechnology, to genetic preservation, to efforts to maintain seed purity for organic production.
